Easter Sunday-April 24,2011

Today is Easter Sunday. Since I was so tired from yesterday I ended up not going to church. Which I missed, but oh well that's life. Um I woke up, got dressed up and went to lunch at some "Healthy", "Organic", "Natural", and "Hip"  place. It was actually really good. I got this like "Texas Skillet" which had Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Cheese, and Hash Browns. I also got pancakes. I love pancakes. The best way to have them though is with no sugar on top, and just a little maple syrup. Maybe, maybe a little butter, but ussally just with syrup. So yeah I went there for lunch, went home. And now I've been laying on the couch for a while. Pretty mellow but yet fun day. I plan to do nothing much tonight. But yeah this is gonna be a really really busy week for me becuase I have to schedule a lot of things and I also have school, umpiring, and sleeping to do. So it should be a long week. But I'm stoked on just sleeping today.

Just got home-April 23, 2011

So today was busy busy. As you know I had the whole thing with the doctors going on today, and trying to get into the allergy clinic, but unfourantly it didn't go my way today and we ended up having to just leave Dallas and we're gonna have to go back in a few weeks. I guess I'm not that stoked about it. But hey I gotta get it done. Um so after the Lounge in DEN I went went down and took the Tram down from Concourse B to Concourse A. Walked a while up to gate A32, and just hungout there for like 20 mintues. The flight was really full, but we were like whatever. We were already so tired that we didn't care. We got on the plane and just sat there for a while. Then this guy came up and sat next to us. He was 25 and he was oringally from Chicago, but moved out to Denver a few years ago. We talked pretty much the whole flight about skiing and snowboarding. He goes to Breck (Breckenridge Resort, just an hour from Denver) and is a snowboarder. It was just sweet talking to him about it all and his life. He was a pretty chill dude. So after a pretty mellow flight we got into MDW and just got picked up and then went striaght out to Cole's game, after an inning we were too tired so we left and got food. Then just went home and that's where I am now. I'm pretty much just am gonna watch netflix and chill tonight. It was a pretty mellow day but a good trip to figure all of my jaw stuff out. So I'll be down in Dallas soon, so I guess I'll be getting more Frequent Flyer Miles! Happy Easter!

Sitting in the Lounge at Denver International Airport April 22, 2011

So I'm sitting in the lounge right now just thinking about how tired I am. I've had a pretty long day today. I woke up this morning about 6:30, got dressed and everything and went down to the lobby of the hotel to get ready for the shuttle to take us to DFW. We were still waiting to here back from the other doctors office there in Dallas about possibly squeezing in an allergey test either this afternoon or monday morning. But they said that they didn't have any avaiblity since I'm a new patient. So we were at the airport and the only way we could get out the next day was if we "missed" our flight on purpose so that we wouldn't be charged cancellation fees and have to rebook and go out monday night or tuesday morning. So we were doing that waiting for this doctor to call us back, but when they did they said they couldn't take me today, or monday. So we just decided to head on home and then most likley I'll fly back in to DFW in a week or 2 to do this test because we have to make sure that I'm not allegric to the metals that they'll use to make the screws and things that will go in my mouth for my jaw surgery. So we flew up here to DEN, and now we're here on the final hour of a 4 hour layover. I cannot wait to get home. It's weird. I love traveling, like if I could I would go to every single country in the world, but for some reason, when your tired, only had 3 hours of sleep, and your stressed about a major 7 hour surgery, you wanna be home! But my flight leaves here at 2:55 and then I'll get into MDW at 6:11, straight from MDW I'm going to my brother's baseball game and then, then Finally I get to go home! I cannot wait to get into my bed and sleep! Easter is tommorw, and its gonna be a great day to reflect and just think about how much Jesus loves us and how he died on the cross for us, and how He rose from the dead and how we have eternal life with him in Heaven!

Jaw Surgery Update 1

So just got back to the hotel. Spent almost 3 hours talking with the doctor about the jaw and everything. Found out that I'm gonna need jaw surgery and as soon as possible so that means that I'll need to go this summer. There's about 4 things that he has to do to during the surgery, so it's gonna be a 7 hour surgery. It's gonna be awful, but I'm thankful that I have the best doctor in the world doing it. The recovery goes as follows: Fly in one day, the next day get molds for my mouth, do some blood work, and do some other tests. The next day have the 7 hour surgery, afterwards spend the next day in the recovery room. Then if I'm doing better I will be moved to the V.I.P floor in the Baylor Medical Hospital Center, where I will stay there for about 4-7 days as long as I am doing well. Then I will remain in Dallas another week at either a Hotel or a Ronald McDonald house type place where I can visit the doctor everyday to remove rubber bands, bandages, ect from my mouth for the next week. Then I will fly home. 3 or 4 weeks later I will fly back down to Dallas for the weekend and see him again, run some tests and just make sure that everything is going according to schedule. Then after that I will have to fly down again a year from the surgery for hopefully the final visit. We're right now trying to stay an extra day or 2 in Dallas because since I have allergies, I have to have extra tests done because they're gonna put metal rods and screws in my mouth, so the best place in the world where the doctor feels the most comfortable with is here in Dallas, so we just spent a few hours on the phone with the airline and we're seeing about spending another day or 2 in Dallas. We might get the tests done tomrrow, we're just not sure so we might just end up getting on stand by and just wait at the airport sunday or monday til we can get out. But this has been a good trip and I'm excited about learning more about this jaw surgery process and I'll be letting you guys know more about it as soon as these tests are done and we have a surgery date!

Peace out!

Dallas April 21-23

Found out I had to get jaw surgery a few months ago. So I hoped on a few planes and made it here to Dallas to see Dr. Larry Wolford. They say that he is the best in the world so I'm pretty stoked that if I have to get surgery that I have the best in the world doing it. I'm sitting in the lobby of his office right now in Baylor Medical Center talking to a guy who just got his jaw done 3 weeks ago. He said he was in the hospital for a week and after 3 weeks still hasn't gone to work on anything. So I'm thinking that I won't be able to do anything this summer or fall sports if it gets done this summer. So I'm major bummed about that. But oh well I guess I want good looking teeth and my jaw to be alined! This is my first blog post. I was thinking of doing like a youtube series called chucklife about what I'm doing, but that's pretty stupid and it takes too long to do this. Now I have a blog so it's easy! Tonight I meet the doctors and then tomorrow I fly out. This week has been busy busy. I've just had interviews, MRI's, xrays, and now meeting this doctor. They say I might have to fly down here this summer for the surgery, have it done and stay here for 3 weeks possibly, then fly home and then come back a month later for tests and stuff. So this summer is defiantly gonna be really long and I have no idea how I will be able to do it all cause I'm going to Canada, Michigan, Mississippi, and Georgia in just the beginning of summer. So it will defiantly be long and we'll see how it goes.
